We at the Passion Center are trying to do church differently. One way that we are doing this is by practicing sabbath. The word “sabbatical” comes from the word “Sabbath,” which is a day of rest dedicated to God. Essentially, a sabbatical is several Sabbaths put together. Sabbatical Leave is essentially when the clergy are free of ministerial duties in order to undertake study, a retreat and personal development.
